FNB Stadium
A landmark partnership
FNB has proudly held naming rights to the 90 000-seat facility since it opened in 1989. Over the years, it has been at the centre of history and culture, from hosting Nelson Mandela's first Johannesburg speech after his release in 1990 to being the venue for his memorial service on 10 December 2013. FNB Stadium also played a role in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, hosting the opening and final matches.
Since the 2010 tournament, the stadium has welcomed nine million spectators through more than 700 events, ranging from sporting fixtures to world-class concerts.
Our partnership with Stadium Management SA has grown over the years, making this one of the longest naming-rights associations in South African sports history. Together with the City of Johannesburg and our partners, we leverage this iconic venue to engage audiences, support sports and cultural events, and strengthen community connections.
From football and rugby to concerts and local events, the stadium continues to be a space where memories are made, communities come together, and South Africa's sporting and cultural heritage is celebrated.
