FNB Football First
Building champions from the ground up
Football First is nurturing the next generation of football stars on pitches across South Africa. We help unlock young talent and build a strong foundation for the future of football.
Impact that matters
As a legacy programme of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Football First has impacted over 23,000 young footballers, both boys and girls aged under-13 to under-15, from five key regions—George, Mthatha, Thohoyandou, Kimberley, and Pietermaritzburg.
Through high-quality training, development clinics, and competitive events, the programme not only sharpens football skills but also instills life skills, ensuring well-rounded athletes prepared for both sport and life.
Football First isn't just about perfecting passes and scoring goals; it's about discipline, teamwork and resilience. Many participants have moved on to represent national teams and play for professional clubs, cementing the programme as a vital part of South Africa's football future.
